Afternoon fishing in August. I get asked all the time if the morning tides are better than the afternoon. I can tell a lot of people are skeptical when I say they are both good. That’s why we fish the tide times not a static time of day. The largest came in at 47” and one had a little run in with a shark.

A few gator blues made their way up the coast this year. Right before they left they went on a tear and cost me about 2 dozen hooks in one day. The surprising part is after the first half dozen we were using wire the rest of the day. They were so aggressive the others were biting the swivels and breaking us off.
