What's the difference between our 71125 and our 72170 Beechcraft LED wingtip kit?

The Whelen 72170 series LED recognition light is the latest version of the popular LED recognition light, and is two and a half times brighter than the older 71125 LED recognition light. When we certified our STC kit, we did it with the 71125. When the 72170 made its debut, we did the engineering and certification to incorporate it into the design.

If you purchased the kit with the 71125, our design and robust enough and compatible with upgrading to the 72170 series. We recommend either a 10 degree or a 20 degree lamp because the structure of the wingtip will begin to obstruct any wider degree lens.

This is the most popular LED light upgrade kit for Beechcraft Bonanzas, Barons, Dukes, and more assuming the aircraft is equipped with a wingtip that has a wrap around wingtip lens
