Would Hungary make your European travel list?

It absolutely should.

Hungary gives you a little bit of everything, and Budapest is a pretty spectacular place to start.

You’ve got grand architecture, fascinating history, traditional culture, and an incredible food scene. Goulash, local specialties, pastries, and wine all give you plenty of reasons to plan your day around your next meal.

And once you get beyond Budapest, you'll find wine regions, charming countryside, historic towns, and plenty of opportunities to experience the traditions that make Hungary unique.

Budapest may get the spotlight, but there’s so much more to discover throughout the country.

Have you been to Hungary, or is it still on your list?

There’s a lot that happens between “I want to go somewhere” and actually being there.

The inspiration.
The research.
The planning.
The little details that make it come together.

And then… the result.

A trip that feels effortless because someone took the time to make sure it all made sense.

That’s the part of travel planning I love most. Taking an idea and turning it into “I can’t believe we’re actually here.”

Not every vacation is meant to be spent at a resort.

Before you click book, I'd ask you these three questions:

⛱️ Do you want to relax or explore?

If your dream vacation is pool side with a drink in hand ,an all inclusive might be perfect.
If you're dreaming of wandering cobblestone streets, eating at local restaurants, and experiencing local culture, there may be a better fit.

🍛 What kind of memories do you want to bring home?

Unlimited buffets and beach days? Or enjoying homemade pasta in a family run trattoria, drinking local wine and getting lost in a beautiful European city?

🌎 Is the destination the experience, or just the backdrop?

In places like Mexico and the Caribbean, the resort is often the destination. In Italy and much of Europe, the magic happens beyond the hotel.

There isn't a right or wrong answer. The best vacation is the one that matches your travel style.

That's exactly what I help my clients figure out.

And if you're not sure which type of trip is right for you, let's chat.

You can book a trip online.

But you can't Google away the stress of wondering if you're in the right place, missing something important, or wasting precious vacation time.

Some of my recent clients shared this after returning from Europe:

"We all absolutely loved the trip. It was such a blessing to have it beautifully planned out for us."

And this...

"We are thankful for all the personalized connections. We would have spent so much time being confused about where to go, what lines to get in, and how to secure transportation. It's been a blessing to have someone direct us from point to point!"

That right there is the goal.

Not just a beautiful itinerary, but the confidence to enjoy your vacation without constantly figuring out the next step.

Because your time should be spent making memories, not solving travel logistics.

Planning a trip to Italy? I'd love to help make it feel effortless.

You keep saying, "Someday I'll go to Italy"... and then another year goes by.

My Spring 2027 Italy small group trip is officially full! Next April, nine women will be exploring Rome, Tuscany, Umbria, and Florence together, and I couldn't be more excited.

The best part? Knowing they don't have to spend months researching hotels, trains, restaurants, or trying to piece together the "perfect" itinerary. They get to show up, experience Italy, and enjoy every moment.

If you've been dreaming about Italy but keep putting it off because planning feels overwhelming—or you don't want to travel alone—I have something exciting coming.

I'm putting the finishing touches on my Fall 2027 Italy small group trip, and I'd love to give my waitlist first access before it's announced publicly.

Happy Swiss National Day! 🇨🇭

One of my favorite things about Switzerland is how easy it is to work into a larger European trip.

If you're taking a Rhine River cruise, spending a few days in Switzerland before or after your cruise is an easy add-on since many itineraries begin or end in Basel. It's also a great extension if you're visiting northern Italy or Austria. Europe's rail system makes getting around simple, and the train rides through Switzerland are part of the experience.

That's exactly how I explored Switzerland, by train. I visited several regions, and every stop felt completely different. Mountain villages, beautiful lakes, historic cities, and some of the most scenic rail routes in the world all in one country.

Switzerland may not always be the main destination, but it's often the piece that takes a great Europe itinerary and makes it even better.

The longer I do this the more I realize luxury isn't about having the most expensive vacation.

Sometimes luxury is...

✔️ Waking up to a view like this.

✔️ Taking a long walk around the lake.

✔️ Lingering over lunch with a glass of wine.

✔️ Having every train, hotel, and transfer already planned.

✔️ Coming home feeling rested instead of like you need another vacation.

That's why I love planning Europe so much. Luxury isn't always over-the-top. Sometimes it's simply having the time and space to slow down and actually experience where you are.

So tell me... what's your version of luxury?

Why don't I book the typical short-term rentals?

Because if something goes wrong after you land in another country, "good luck" isn't part of my client experience.

I do book villas, but only through trusted partners who have personally vetted every property they represent.

There's a big difference.

When I book a villa, I know there's a local team behind it. If the AC stops working, a transfer is delayed, or something isn't right, there are real people on the ground who can help.

A random short-term rental? I can't verify the property, I can't guarantee the quality, and I can't confidently stand behind it.

That's not a risk I'm willing to take with your vacation.

The villas I book are in incredible destinations around the world and include everything from:
• Beachfront escapes
• Fully staffed with private chefs and housekeeping
• Luxury estates for families and groups to spread out
• Golf villas and ski chalets
• Ultra-luxury homes that are destinations all on their own

Many also include concierge services that can arrange airport transfers, grocery delivery, private chefs, wine tastings, yacht charters, restaurant reservations, and more.

Could you book a short-term rental yourself? Absolutely.

But when you work with me, I'm not just helping you find a place to stay with more room. I'm making sure there's a trusted team standing behind it long after you've checked in.

As someone who spends a lot of time planning Italy vacations, I can confidently say there's one thing I still can't bring home.

Coffee that tastes as good as it does in Italy.

I've bought the moka pot.
I've brought home the coffee.
I've tried. It doesn't work.

I guess I'll just have to keep going back to Italy to continue my research.

Tell me I'm not the only one who thinks coffee tastes better there.

Travel Advisor Hot Take:

Most people don't just need a vacation. They need permission to actually unplug.

The most beautiful hotel in Italy or a river cruise through Europe won't mean much if you're answering emails the entire time.

The best trips happen when you're present. When you're enjoying gelato instead of checking your phone. When you're making memories with the people you traveled there to be with.

That's one of the reasons I handle the planning. The less you have to think about before and during your trip, the easier it is to slow down and actually enjoy it.

I share practical travel tips, destination inspiration, and honest conversations like this in my private travel community.
