It is with great sadness we share the unexpected passing of one of our drivers. Randy has driven a truck for us for 17 years. A skilled driver and valued employees, he came to work every day with a smile on his face ready to get the job done. He will be greatly missed. Please keep his family in your thoughts and prayers.
RANDY'S OBITUARY
Randy Scott Lanier, 55 of Martinsville, IN passed away Thursday May 30, 2024 unexpectedly.
He was born December 25, 1968 in Franklin, IN to Denver Ross Lanier and Janice Opal (Bensheimer) Lanier.
Randy had been a truck driver for Locke Trucking in Bargersville, IN for seventeen years.
He enjoyed riding dirt bikes, attending the regatta in Madison, IN, camping, fishing and cracking jokes. Randy was a simple man always willing to help anyone out.
Survivors include his sons Christopher S. Brotherton (Chelsey Brotherton) of Trafalgar, IN, Adam S. Lanier (Ava Thompson) of Shelbyville, IN, Ty V. Michaelson (Taylor Michaelson) of Shelbyville, IN and Clayton J. Michaelson (Ashley Michaelson) of Camby, IN, two grandchildren Everly Michaelson and Blakely Ann Thompson, his brother Todd R. Lanier (Judy Buster) of Greenwood, IN, a niece Theresa Benoist (Brandon), a nephew Brian Ryan Ross Lanier.
He was preceded in death by his infant daughter Jacklin M. Lanier, parents Denver Ross Lanier and Janice Opal (Bensheimer) Lanier, grandparents Frank Eunis “FE” Bensheimer and Flossie (Lemmons) Bensheimer, Paul Denver Lanier and Francis (Dillman) Lanier.
Pastor Jeff Gott will conduct a service on Saturday June 8, 2024 at 11:30AM at Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center 300 South U.S. 31 (Morton Street) in Franklin, IN and will be live-streamed at www.swartzmortuary.com./obituary/randylanier. Friends may call Friday, June 7, 2024 from 4PM until 8PM at the mortuary. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Greenwood, IN.
