Anyone with a vehicle can drive the Bourbon Trail route.

Very few can tell you the story behind the barrel you just tasted at Barton 1792, the shortcut from Heaven Hill back to Willett that avoids peak traffic, or which tour guide at Bardstown Bourbon Company is the one to request by name.

The region settles back into its own rhythm, and the people who came in May for the hat parade are gone.
