Much deserved time off coming at the end of the week!

The drivers are wrapping up their week on the road and will spend the next week at home. They have had a particularly demanding six weeks. Throughout this period, we have faced a mix of positive and negative experiences, which have contributed significantly to our learning and development.

Last year during our first week of service and really not knowing the industry that well we got a dot inspection. Well during that dot inspection on a brand new Diamond C FMAXX trailer the right rear light wasn't blinking when the dot officer gave us and inspection as well as he founded a loose strap on the trailer. At that time we were 5 miles away from the delivery address. The dot officer told the driver at that time to go ahead make the delivery and then take the trailer back to the dealership to get repaired since it was a brand new trailer. He also gave us a warning and an out of service for that trailer malfunction. Again first week and really not knowing the industry well we thought it was just a warning no big deal! Well we discovered later on when I tried to renew my insurance that a warning is worse than a ticket in the transportation industry. The moral of this story is learn as much as you can about any new business venture before you get into it! This warning cost me dearly last year and if I had done my research I would have took it more seriously when the driver brought it to my attention when he returned back to the yard. Lastly, we've had received 3 inspection within the last 3 weeks all passing. I would like to thank the hotshot drivers Ms. Rolanda and Mr. Jeremy for being on top of their game! TRANSPORTATION LLC
