MAS Rescue

MAS Rescue MAS Rescue is a small group, we are dedicated to helping unwanted shelter animals. We are run by volu The animals hope to hear from you soon.

The Maryland Animal Sanctuary & Rescue Organization (MAS Rescue, Inc.) was founded in 2005 by Mary Snyder to fulfill her dream and passion to save animals from unnecessary euthanasia in over-crowded shelters. MAS Rescue is a small group that is dedicated to helping unwanted shelter animals whose time has run out and whose destiny is deemed perilous. An all volunteer organization, we have a passion

ate desire to save as many shelter animals as possible and work tirelessly to provide all the love and care they need. MAS Rescue has rescued and placed over 8500 dogs and cats in loving forever homes. Animals come to us from local shelters, some from distant shelters, while still others are displaced homeless animals found wandering the streets. We rescue, treat and rehabilitate animals through placement in volunteer foster homes for the purpose of eventual adoption into permanent homes that are loving and responsible. They are socialized with children, other animals, and are exposed to everyday family life. We take each animal for a vet check, have them vaccinated, de-wormed etc... If an animal is 22 weeks or more they will always be altered. We require an adoption application, a signed contract and a fee. We will complete regular follow-up, including veterinarian follow-up on your new companion. If you are interested in adopting any of our furry four-legged friends, e-mail us for an adoption application. Please keep in mind: We will not ship animals, but will consider reasonable transport for the perfect home! Thanks for considering adoption from a rescue organization!

World Pet Memorial Day, June 9th. So many have been lost, some even before they had an official home. But they had a name, and they were loved.. I hope they knew I was their home, because they are forever a part of me … paw prints left forever in my heart. Below are a just a few of the pets MAS Rescue families lost recently. 🐾❀️🐾 Feel free to post your memorials… big hugs!

A previous MAS Rescued pup who was loved since she was adopted, and treasured until her very last breath. Her memorial:

Our beloved Deena, who would have turned 13 on July 2, crossed over the Rainbow Bridge 🌈 yesterday. We are so grateful for Dr. Gene Bauer and Vet Tech Alix of Bay Country Veterinary Hospital who provided gentle, compassionate end of life care for Deena. She's been a big part of our lives for over ten years, and Dr. Bauer has been with us on our entire journey. We will miss her forever, but feel blessed knowing she is at peace. Now Tom and I are a family of two again. Losing Deena was especially hard as we're not planning on getting any more dogs. Run free now, my precious love, our best friend, and goodest Girl! I'd like to think St. Francis, Patron Saint of Animals, was there to welcome you with open arms to Heaven πŸΎπŸ’™
