A Whole new level at Disney-Club Level that is.

On a recent trip to Disney I had the amazing opportunity to try and enjoy club level at Animal Kingdom Lodge.
When you arrive to check in you are escorted to the club level lounge by a club level cast member where you meet and talk to the concierge. They make sure you have everything you need and have a welcoming gift. You will need your magic band, room key or mobile phone Disney Magic Mobile in order to take the elevator to the Club Level Lounge or if you walk up the stairs you will need it to enter the Club Level Lounge area.

Club level at Animal Kingdom Lodge-Kilimanjaro Club- serves 4 different times and food and beverages.

This is certainly a way to feel very special and worth the upgrade and additional costs. You must book your room as a club level room.

Here is the list of resorts that have club level (Deluxe Resorts)

-Disney's Grand Floridian (Main Bldg)-Royal Palm Club
-Disney's Grand Floridian (Outer Bldg)-Sugar Loaf Club
-Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge-Kilimanjaro Club
-Disney's Beach Club Resort-Stone Harbor Club
-Disney's Boardwalk Inn-Inn Keeper's Club
-Disney's Polynesian Village Resort-King Kamehameha Club
-Disney's Wilderness Lodge-Old Faithfull Club
-Disney's Yacht Club-Regatta Club
-Disney's Coronado Gran Destino- Chronos Club

When making your reservation you must state and clarify that you want the Club Level Rooms, they are separate rooms on select floors in each resort.

Having club level gets you into the Club Lounge and so much more!

Club Lounge is open and staffed from 7 AM to 10 PM. The concierge is there to assist with possible dining reservations, your in park questions and so much more. We also received a call each day from the concierge to our room to make sure we were good. They really want to assist you and make sure you have the absolute best time while their. If you need something or have a question, please ask them.

I would highly recommend this addition to your deluxe resort stay to feel very pampered and special. This is a great way to spoil yourself and your family at Disney!

Park hopping at Disney. Is it for you??

Park hopping at Disney World presents both advantages and challenges, offering visitors a dynamic experience but potentially adding logistical complexities to their trip. The primary benefit of park hopping lies in its flexibility. By allowing guests to visit multiple parks in a single day, it provides the opportunity to maximize their time and access a broader range of attractions and entertainment options. This flexibility enables visitors to adapt their plans on the fly, taking advantage of changing circumstances or preferences without being tied down to a single park for the entire day.

However, the flexibility of park hopping also comes with its drawbacks. One significant downside is the potential for exhaustion. Constantly moving between parks, especially in the Florida heat, can be physically demanding and draining. Visitors may find themselves feeling fatigued and overwhelmed by the end of the day, particularly if they attempt to cram too much into their itinerary. Additionally, the time spent traveling between parks eats into valuable hours that could be spent enjoying attractions or dining experiences, potentially diminishing the overall enjoyment of the trip.

On the flip side, park hopping may not be suitable for every guest or every situation. For first-time visitors or families with young children, the fast-paced nature of park hopping could feel overwhelming and stressful. Navigating transportation between parks, coordinating dining reservations, and managing fatigue levels may prove challenging for those unfamiliar with the layout and logistics of Disney World. Additionally, the cost of park hopper tickets can add up quickly, especially for larger groups or extended stays, potentially stretching the budget beyond its limits.

Ultimately, whether park hopping enhances or detracts from the overall Disney experience depends on the individual preferences and circumstances of each guest.

Thriving at Disney during the summer months isn’t just possible—it’s absolutely doable with the right mindset and a little smart planning.

This isn’t about barely surviving the heat. You can truly enjoy your trip, even in Florida’s peak summer weather.

Planning is everything. When I was first asked to visit Disney during the hottest time of year, my answer was a firm no. But I realized that to properly guide my clients, I needed to experience it myself. I’m glad I did—it completely changed my perspective.

Yes, it’s hot. Yes, it’s humid. And yes, you should expect afternoon rain showers. Sometimes they pass quickly, sometimes they linger—but either way, being prepared makes all the difference.

The number one rule? Hydration. And not just a little—more than you think you need. Water is your best friend. If you’re not drinking constantly, you likely need more. Disney offers free ice water at quick-service locations, and you can bring your own (non-glass) bottles into the parks. Find what works for you and stick with it.

Electrolytes matter too. Adding an electrolyte drink after a couple bottles of water can help maintain energy and prevent that drained feeling. Portable packets are a great option and easy to carry.

Cooling breaks are a game changer. Indoor attractions, shows, shops, and table-service meals aren’t just enjoyable—they’re essential. Even a short break in the air conditioning can completely reset your day.

Gear can help, but it’s personal. Cooling towels are simple, effective, and easy to carry. A hat provides shade and protection, especially on peak sun days. Misting fans are popular and helpful for many guests, even if they’re not for everyone.

Don’t forget sunscreen. Apply it before you leave your room and reapply throughout the day. It protects your skin and helps you stay more comfortable.

If I had to narrow it down to three essentials:

1. Hydrate constantly
2. Use sunscreen consistently
3. Take cooling breaks

With the right preparation, you’re not just surviving a summer Disney trip—you’re enjoying it. Thriving in the heat isn’t just possible—it’s very achievable.

Is Disney your happy place? It is for me. Not everyone likes or loves Disney and that's ok.

When I got in to this business over 10 years ago people would as what it was about and I would saying planning to have a magic time at Disney. The responses were varied but when I would get I don't like Disney, I would say ok, then where is your happy place??? It really surprised me the number of people that had no response. Yes, I would get cruises, ocean, hiking, skiing, and so much more and I thought this is great!! I want people to have a happy place.

When people had no response I felt sad and still do for those people. To me it's not about the travel to Disney or to anyplace else, it's having a place to go to that brings love and joy to your heart. If you don't have one, please find one. You deserve the joy and love!!

Where is your happy place??
