We're preparing for what is expected to be our busiest summer to date, with activity increasing across the site and new opportunities on the horizon. As we gear up for the months ahead, we're especially thankful for the team members whose hard work keeps operations running safely, efficiently, and smoothly.

Last week, Avondale Global Gateway had the opportunity to support two organizations making a difference in our community.

Our HR Director, Nubia Gutierrez, spoke with the Youth Empowerment Project's Workforce Development Summer Class about career readiness, while Senior Marketing Manager Greer Stewart attended the Jefferson Dollars for Scholars scholarship ceremony, where Avondale Global Gateway presented scholarships to two graduating seniors.

Host Agency Tampa was proud to attend the grand opening of the new CEMEX Berth 150 Aggregate Terminal at Port Tampa Bay last week.

The $36 million expansion represents a major investment in the future of Florida’s infrastructure and supply chain, increasing the port’s capacity to efficiently import critical construction materials used in roads, bridges, homes, schools, and regional development projects throughout the state.

We were honored to join industry and community leaders, including Tampa Mayor Jane Castor, Port Tampa Bay President and CEO Paul Anderson, CEMEX US President Jesus Gonzalez, and CEMEX Vice President of Aggregates Jeff Bobolts, in celebrating this important milestone.
