Breaking yearly records before Q4 calls for a feast! 🍖 This week, we brought Cochon King out to Avondale Global Gateway to celebrate the hardworking teams who have propelled HOST and Avondale Global Gateway toward a record-setting year.

With pulled pork and smoked chicken wings on the menu, our Avondale and HOST Agency teams came together for some well-earned Louisiana cooking and a chance to celebrate what we’ve accomplished together. Thank you to our teams for the hard work, long hours, and commitment that continue to drive our success. Connecting Jefferson Parish to the world 🌎 Last week, Avondale Global Gateway welcomed an international delegation of maritime and logistics professionals from across the globe through Global New Orleans.

Vice President and General Manager Amanda England introduced the group to Avondale’s story, from its roots as a historic shipyard to its transformation into a growing multimodal logistics hub, and shared a look at what’s ahead for the facility. Following the presentation, Government Affairs Liaison Jeff Keever led the delegation on a tour of the site for a firsthand look at Avondale’s operations and capabilities.

Visits like these create valuable opportunities to exchange ideas, share industry knowledge and build relationships across borders. As Avondale continues to grow, our doors remain open to new connections, collaboration and opportunities from around the world.

A piece of Avondale history is coming full circle!

OnPath Credit Union began in 1961 as ASI Federal Credit Union, serving the employees of Avondale Shipyard. Last week, OnPath returned to Avondale for the first time since the shipyard closed — this time partnering with HOST to offer exclusive financial benefits and resources to our employees across the country.

Avondale Global Gateway Vice President and General Manager Amanda England joined the Mariners Club earlier this week as guest speaker for its luncheon at Copper Vine, sharing the story of Avondale’s transformation since HOST purchased the site in 2018.

In just eight years, Avondale has grown into a bustling multimodal logistics hub, and that momentum continues to build. Recent milestones include securing funding for critical infrastructure improvements, welcoming new customers and tenants, and surpassing the facility’s total 2025 tonnage handled in early August.

Amanda’s presentation highlighted not only how far Avondale has come, but the opportunities still ahead as the facility continues to grow alongside Louisiana’s industrial economy.

And there was even more reason to celebrate—it was Amanda’s birthday! We couldn’t think of a better way to mark the occasion than sharing the exciting future of Avondale Global Gateway. 🎉
