Great News !!
A NEW CHAPTER
Several weeks ago, we announced that we would be seeking a new home for The Summer Market in our 15th year.
After much thought, discussion, meetings and soul searching, a decision was made to head west and find a home in Lorain, Ohio.
The Lorain Port Authority has opened their arms to us and and we have already started a list of ways we will not only be able to use the park for the event, but the river too!
If you have driven through Lorain lately, you know there is a lot of work going on there. The town is feeling a resurgence and we are super excited to be part of the excitement.
A lot more information will come out as we head into 2020, but for now...please mark your calendars for the NEW Winter Market in November and the Summer Market in July.
*Applications for the Summer Market will be posted on our website in late December.
We have the power to make the world a better place and we look forward to helping even more families and organizations in the area. 💕

The Birdhouse Bed and Breakfast Avon Lake, Ohio USA
We are directly across from Lake Erie. Our address is 33215 Lake Rd. Avon Lake, Ohio, 44012. You will have access to a private beach across the street just 500 feet away. It is a rocky beach, very common along the Shore, not designed for swimming, but you can. The Sunrises and Sunsets are quite serene and gorgeous! At the top of the cliff, overlooking the beach, there is a small private relaxing park. There are a couple of parks on the shore of Lake Erie within walking distance. We are located only 35 minutes from downtown Cleveland & 45 minutes from Sandusky Cedar Point and Erie Islands. Swimming Beaches are 1 mile from our home in either direction.
We are offering the second floor of our home for your private use. It has 2 bedrooms with a private bath & reading room. The laundry, 1st fl. kitchen, living & family rooms are shared with host. You and those in your party will be the only overnight guests while you are while with us. The one bedroom has a twin bed and a junior bed (child 5+ under). The other bedroom has a full double bed. We are also able provides sleeping bags for additional guests. On the second floor, there is a room available for reading, listening and/or watching television/movies. There is free Wi-Fi available throughout the home.
You are also welcome to use rooms and appliances on the first floor at any time. These include a living room, kitchen, dining room & family room. There is a working fireplace on the first floor. In the basement there is also a washer and dryer available.
We, as your hosts, will be available throughout your stay. We will have plenty of options available for you to enjoy for breakfast or any other meal.
There is instant hot water in kitchen at the sink and an automatic ice maker in kitchen fridge. We also have options for coffee: a drip coffee maker is available as well as a French Press or a Cappuccino maker.
You are welcome to use either the back of front yard to relax. There is a fire pit in the backyard that you are welcome to use as well as a charcoal grill. Feel free to invite your friends over for share some time with you. Smoking is permitted outdoors or in the garage.
We will also provide for you lots of information on places to visit and local points of interests as well as shopping and dining.
Brian is a driver with UBER & LYFT and private transportation can be provided. We are about a 35 minute drive from downtown or Cleveland Hopkins Airport. We are very close to I 90 and about 15 minutes from I 480.
Sandusky (Cedar Point) and the Erie Islands are about 45-60 minutes away. Akron/Canton (Football Hall of Fame) is about 1 hr. and 15 minutes away.
