Weekend plans? We’ve got a few ideas.

Whether you’re looking to get out on the water, explore the coastline, or spend the day by the beach, there’s plenty happening around Port San Luis and Avila Beach this weekend.

🥾 Hike the scenic Pecho Coast Trail to the historic Point San Luis Lighthouse

🎣 Join a morning of kayak fishing at Olde Port Beach targeting Rockfish, Ling Cod, and Halibut

🍓 Stroll the Avila Beach Farmers Market for fresh produce, local vendors, good food, and beachside fun

However you spend your weekend, we hope it includes a little sunshine, salty air, and time on the Central Coast.

Not every day at port is sunshine…and that’s part of the beauty.

From Morro Rock to Port San Luis

Long before these pelicans claimed the jetty as their hangout, some of these massive boulders began as part of morro rock itself. Quarried decades ago to help build and protect harbors along the Central Coast.

History, wildlife, and the ocean all tied together in one view.
