What a great day we had in Austin! TTA members came together at the Stephen F. Austin Royal Sonesta Hotel for our Legislative Planning Session and All-Member Evening Reception. It was a wonderful day of conversations, collaboration, and reconnecting with our transit community.

TTA Celebrates LIT Partnership Award!

TTA was honored to receive the Impact Through Partnership Award at the 2026 Latinos In Transit Leadership Summit in Columbus, Ohio.

As LIT celebrates 10 Years of Impact, we are proud to have been part of their journey and grateful for a partnership built on collaboration, support, and a shared commitment to the transit industry.

Representing TTA at the Summit were Laura Herrera and TTA Board Member Sarah H. Cook, who were proud to accept this special recognition on behalf of the association.

Congratulations to Latinos In Transit on an incredible 10 years and thank you for recognizing TTA with this meaningful award. We look forward to continuing our partnership for many years to come!

It was also great to see so many TTA members in attendance, connecting, learning, and representing the Texas transit community!

Recognizing More Than a Decade of Leadership & Service to TTA:
The Texas Transit Association is proud to recognize Eron Linn, Federal Relations Manager with Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART), for his outstanding service and leadership as Chair of the TTA Legislative Committee for more than 10 years.
Throughout his tenure as Chair, Eron has been a valued voice for public transportation, generously sharing his knowledge, experience, and insight on legislative and federal issues impacting transit agencies across Texas. His leadership and commitment have strengthened TTA’s legislative efforts and ensured that the needs of Texas public transportation remain part of important policy conversations.
While Eron is stepping away from the Chair position, TTA looks forward to his continued involvement and support of the Legislative Committee and the Association. We sincerely thank him for more than a decade of leadership and dedicated service.
TTA is also pleased to welcome the Legislative Committee’s new leadership: Chair Perri D’Armond of Fort Bend County Transit and Co-Chair José Pulido of Houston METRO. We look forward to their leadership as TTA prepares for the upcoming legislative session and continues advocating for public transportation across Texas.
