Today is our birthday!



As Groovy Movers celebrates its 2nd birthday, we wanted to say thank you to everyone who has supported and joined us, on this amazing journey. We have helped our neighbors move into their first dorm rooms and family homes, and are always so happy to be a part of these special moments. We have also answered the call to help in times of loss and tragedy. From regularly helping with the loss or care of a loved one, or moving people out of hostile environments, to providing emergency services during the Llano Flood of 2018, or altering our day-to-day operations to allow us to continue to help as the coronavirus takes its toll, we also take great pride in the fact that we have been able to support our community in times of need.



On our birthday, we again want to express our gratitude and appreciation for those who have supported us and chosen to go groovy! We can’t wait to celebrate with you all again, soon. Until then, we remain ready to help and serve.

As the preferred vendor of several local hospitals, hospices, and assisted living facilities, Groovy Movers is no stranger to working in medically and environmentally sensitive conditions.
As we continue to provide essential services for our community, these are just some of the steps we are taking to ensure the wellness of our customers and crew, alike. We are:
Providing our workers with personal safety and hygiene equipment to wear on the job and at home
Conducting wellness checks on customer and crew before and after moves
Disinfecting our trucks and materials multiple times per day
Disinfecting customer's homes and belongings before, during, and after their moves
Hiring displaced workers from the community (and continuing to pay them and our current crew 30-50% more than industry standard)
Changing the methods, techniques, and materials that we use to actually move items, to mitigate any potential risk or exposure
Limiting the number of moves we book so that we may allocate more resources to maintaining wellness and sanitation within the company.

Our company's official response to the coronavirus, the current global health pandemic, and the closing of local businesses and restricting of services

We Will Remain Open

Groovy Movers will remain open 7 days a week, to be able to continue serving our community in this time of crisis.

However, we will be adopting and initiating new policies and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of our crew and our customers during this time

We Will Be Reducing the Number of Moves We Do

By scaling back on the number of moves we do, we will able to allocate more resources to cleanliness and safety.

This will also us the freedom to dispatch crews that feel healthy, and who want to continue working during this time.

We Will Be Arming Our Movers

During this time we will be providing our movers with personal safety equipment including gloves and respirators, and requiring that they wear for them entirety of your move.

We Will Be Disinfecting While We Work

For the safety of our customers and crew alike, our movers have been instructed to disinfect the items they are handling and the spaces they are working in, at their discretion.

We have partnered with local, professional cleaning companies to be able to provide more thorough disinfecting services to customers who are interested.
