Where the volcano meets the fairway

Our Premium Travel Service golf guests recently stayed at Picciolo Etna Golf Resort & Spa, Curio Collection by Hilton, and the experience was remarkable.

The resort sits at the foot of Mount Etna, surrounded by vineyards, olive groves and citrus orchards, and the volcano’s presence shapes the whole stay. Our guests took a private helicopter flight over Etna and its surroundings, and played golf on Sicily’s first 18-hole championship course, laid out across ancient lava flows with the mountain in view from many of its holes.

Away from the course, guests can unwind at the Sorgente Lavica Spa, enjoy Sicilian cuisine, and taste w**es from the volcanic soils nearby, all in a setting that feels secluded and unhurried.

The best time to visit is from late spring through summer and into autumn. Late spring brings mild weather and blooming landscapes, summer offers long sunny days and evenings outdoors, and autumn adds the grape harvest and warm, golden light that suits both golf and w**e.
