For he last few months I've be working with a new warbird owner, who has purchased a Harvard Mark IV from a local operator.
This aircraft, serial number CCF 466, was one of approximately 500 built by Canadian Car and Foundry under an agreement with North American Aviation. These where the last new Texan/Harvards built, the last 270 going to the RCAF as unarmed trainers.
Unfortunately, this aircraft has not been flown regularly for years, and has suffered the consequences, as well as some "interesting" maintenance practices.
At any rate, she has spent the last few months at Vintage Six Aviation, located at the Aurora State Airport, undergoing extensive repairs to return her to an airworthy status.
I was able to perform as test flight last week. A few additional squawks to be attended to, and we will start transitional training with Mr. Kris Nace.
Another "old babe" will be returning to the sky!
