Here’s how I would describe this portal. Dark Universe definitely leans into spooky, but it doesn’t shove you into it face first like Halloween Horror Nights.
Here, you'll find creepy music, eerie scenery, roaming monsters and a few well-placed frights. Even the attractions have moments that might make you shriek.
But unlike Halloween Horror Nights, this is still a theme park land that's meant to be enjoyed by families. Take a look at the Monster Make-up Experience and the Frankenstein’s monster shaped pretzel.
If you've always had a soft spot for classic Universal monsters like Frankenstein’s monster or Dracula, or want a little thrill without committing to a full horror event, I think Dark Universe is a great place to start.
Does spooky and scary sound fun to you...or are you sticking to Super Nintendo World (or ahem...Disney’s Haunted Mansion?)
