It’s been a while, so let me reintroduce myself and go back down memory lane for a bit!
Hi, I’m LaToya, the owner of Bella Noire. 🤎
Bella Noire started in July 2020 with nothing more than an idea and a leap of faith. My kid’s dad suggested I open a boutique and initially I thought the idea was crazy, but researched and I obliged. From concept to launch, it took just two weeks. I didn’t have all the answers, but I knew I wanted to create a space where women could find pieces that made them feel confident, stylish, and seen.
What happened next was something I never could have imagined.
Bella Noire experienced incredible growth, opening doors to opportunities I once only dreamed about—including working with social media’s top influencers, being featured in publications and operating a holiday pop-up storefront at Auburn Mall. It was one of the most exciting chapters of my journey and a reminder of what can happen when you bet on yourself.
But one of the greatest gifts this business has given me isn’t the sales, events, or milestones—it’s the people.
Over the years, I’ve met amazing customers, supporters, and team members who became much more than business connections. Some have become lifelong friends. One of my former employees still models for Bella Noire today, and many of the relationships built through this business remain a meaningful part of my life.
Like any entrepreneurial journey, there have been highs, lows, lessons, pivots, and moments that tested me. But through it all, Bella Noire has been about more than fashion. It’s been about community, confidence, growth, and connection.
As I continue building this next chapter, I’m grateful for every person who has supported Bella Noire along the way. Thank you for being part of this story.
