🚧Construction Update🚧

The cab of our new air traffic control tower has officially been set in place 🏗️

It’s exciting to see another major piece of the project come together as construction continues. We can’t wait to see the finished tower!

🏈✈️ Upcoming Game Day Advisories ✈️🏈

AUO looks forward to welcoming fans flying in for the football this weekend against the Florida Gators! High levels of aircraft traffic is expected, and aircraft parking may reach full capacity. Please take a moment to reviews some tips below:

Arrival Planning:

🛩️ Due to heavy traffic, we strongly encourage to arrive on Friday or early Saturday morning to secure parking and reduce delays. We anticipate Friday afternoon, Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning to be our times of heaviest traffic.

✈️ Please coordinate early with our FBO team and share flight details, arrival time, departure time and any service needs. Please note that GPU and LAV services are lost likely not possible due to the amount of traffic and demand. PPR is required for aircraft with wingspans of 60ft or more.

🚘 Ground transportation including rental cars will be picked up from the terminal building. Vehicles are NOT permitted airside during game day weekends. We have asked rental agencies to put vehicles in a central area. Please ask our FBO staff if you have any questions. PLEASE do not leave vehicles in the terminal circle or block ingress/egress, and return keys to the front desk.

Parking & Overflow:

✈️ Our staff works closely with AUO Tower/Ground to manage parking and ramp handling. Certain large jets will be remote parked on the southwest ramp, and all piston traffic on 11/29. We will have shuttles continuously operating during these times.

🚐 The shuttle to campus/Jordan-Hare is only available on Saturday and is reserved for airport customers only. Please request a bus ticket from the FBO customer service desk.

Airport Operations:

🛫Extended hours of Air Traffic Control services are scheduled and will be published in NOTAMs. Please review carefully. Any changes in operations will be made via NOTAM and social media.
