This is the story of a valiant micro-preemie's journey into the world through one of the busiest NICU's in the country, as chronicled by his father, fierce advocate and staunch defender. Sometimes we look at the accomplishments of people with whom we’re casually familiar and applaud. But, if we pause for a moment and observe the beginnings, and note the journey, we would marvel. Joshua was once again invited to participate in honors night at school, and we who were there at the beginning, and have been there for every step of the journey, simply marvel. We love you, my son, and are immeasurably proud of you.

A excellent read about the travails of infertility and the eventual conception and complications of an early birth. The story is told about two people who wanted to be parents and went through the trails of IVF only to eventually conceive on their own. in the beginning the pregnancy seemed to be a reward of their love but, in due course, problems arose which resulted in the early birth and time spent in the NICU with their baby boy. These parents shared theirs and other parents daily struggles in the NICU and their joy of taking their healthy baby boy home. A great love story and an in informative read.

Joshua's story is a page turner. I found myself rooting for him from the very start. His parents do absolutely everything they can to care for their son before he entered this world and after.
