For the third Good Neighbor Day Airshow in a row, Maj. Christopher McCoy helped bring the U.S. Air Force E-9A Widget to PDK.

Military aircraft were especially difficult to secure for this year’s static display, and Chris made sure the Widget could join us again. Chris is an E-9A instructor pilot with the 82d Aerial Targets Squadron at Tyndall AFB, Florida, but to us, he’s also a friend who has shown remarkable loyalty to this airshow.

Thank you, Chris, for coming through for PDK once again! 🇺🇸✈️

The show may be over, but the departures gave us one last chance to hear those engines at PDK! ✈️

From the P-51 Mustangs and Matt Younkin’s Beech 18 to Bill Culberson’s MiG-17 and the rest of our visiting aircraft, it was a memorable sendoff for the 2026 Good Neighbor Day Airshow.

Thank you to every crew who came to share their aircraft with Atlanta. Safe travels, and we hope to see you back at PDK! 🇺🇸

What an unforgettable day at PDK - Dekalb Peachtree Airport! Thank you to everyone who joined us, as well as our incredible performers, exhibitors, sponsors, volunteers, airport staff, first responders, and every member of the production team who worked behind the scenes to make the 2026 Good Neighbor Day Airshow possible.

From the beginning, our goal was to create much more than an airshow. We wanted to produce a family-friendly, kid-focused event where young people could do more than simply look at airplanes—they could experience aviation firsthand. Through the STEM Expo, aircraft displays, flight simulators, hands-on activities, and conversations with pilots and aviation professionals, we hope we inspired the next generation to look toward the sky and imagine what is possible.

Seeing so many families enjoying the aircraft, exhibits, aerial performances, drone show, and fireworks made every hour of planning worthwhile.

Please share your best photos for the contest—we can’t wait to see the airshow through your eyes. Stay tuned, because we are already looking forward to what comes next!

Since the early 1980s, Good Neighbor Day has been Atlanta’s airshow!

We would like to express our most sincerest Thank You to all of the incredible people and families who came out to the Good Neighbor Day Airshow on Saturday! It was a blast getting to share the airport with all of you for the day and enjoying all of the excitement that was had.
We also want to thank our amazing performers and volunteers who showed up and showed out! We couldn’t have put on such an awesome show without all of you! This includes all of our volunteers as well!
Thankfully mother nature wasn’t too harsh and allowed us to proceed with our drone and firework show while giving us a show of her own which created a nice backdrop.
Also, since we know that there were so many amazing photos and videos taken throughout the day and evening, we would like to have a little photo contest. If you feel like you got some great shots out there and would like to share them with us, you can email them to [email protected]. You are also welcome to share them here in the comments section!
We will select two winners next week for a very nice PDK Good Neighbor Day swag bag full of some great prizes.
