US National Weather Service Peachtree City Georgia has issued a flash flood watch for the North Georgia region. Heavy rainfall is expected through Wed. If you must travel, please remember to slow down, turn on your headlights, and don't drive through standing water. Georgia DOT - Northeast Georgia DOT - Northwest

A flash flood watch is in effect for parts of North Georgia through Wednesday afternoon. is expected to bring periods of heavy rainfall which will increase the risk for flash flooding.

NOTE: Rest Area #53 in Morgan County, located on I-20 WB at MilePost 108 is closed until further notice due to sewage issues. All other rest areas remain open

Rest areas on highways throughout the state remain open, providing important rest stops for drivers. Restrooms will be regularly deep cleaned throughout the day between the hours of 7 a.m. and 11 p.m.

The lobbies of Georgia’s nine Welcome Centers are closed until further notice to help combat the threat of COVID-19. Outside restrooms will remain available at all times and will be regularly deep cleaned as well.
