The U.S. Department of Labor just launched four free tools to help businesses assess labor risk across their global supply chains.

No subscription. No third-party vendor. Just practical, accessible intelligence for compliance and sourcing teams that need better visibility into where risk lives — including beyond Tier 1.

The suite includes LaborShield, ImportWatch, SourcingStrong, and the Supply Chain Traceability Portal. Each one addresses a different piece of the due diligence puzzle.

We broke down what each tool does and why it matters for U.S. importers navigating today's enforcement environment.

The U.S. and China are investigating each other's trade practices — again. But this round looks different. No immediate tariffs. No overnight restrictions.

Both sides are working through formal channels, keeping diplomacy on the table while building legal frameworks that could shape trade well into 2027.

Our latest piece breaks down what's happening and what it means for importers.

US-China trade talks are heading into a sixth round — and the landscape looks very different from round five.

A Supreme Court ruling. A new tariff instrument. A 150-day clock. And Beijing watching carefully before it makes its next move.

For businesses with exposure to US-China trade flows, now is the time to stress-test your assumptions.

What does "conditional market access" mean?

The new India-US trade framework offers a case study. Indian clothing manufacturers get lower tariffs to sell in the US—but only if they use American cotton.

It's a different approach than traditional free trade: instead of just eliminating tariffs, it links market access to supply chain choices. The deal protects most of India's agricultural sector while opening textile opportunities. Agreement expected next month.

Forced labor compliance just got more centralized.

CBP's new Forced Labor Portal is now the required platform for submitting review requests on detained shipments. The change affects how importers respond to WROs, UFLPA detentions, and certain exception requests.

The portal directs your submission to the right CBP division based on your review type. CBP has released guides and videos to help importers navigate the system.

If your supply chain includes textiles, solar materials, electronics, or goods from flagged regions, this is worth understanding now—not when you're facing a detention.

32 sub-Saharan African countries. Over 1,800 products. Duty-free access to the US market.

The renewal of AGOA matters because it keeps supply chains stable for industries ranging from textiles to critical minerals—materials that account for 30% of global supply.

With a three-year extension now moving to the Senate, businesses have a limited window to optimize sourcing strategies and build resilience before the next round of negotiations.

The question isn't whether these programs will change. It's whether your supply chain is ready when they do.

The US-EU trade standoff isn't getting better—it's getting more complicated. Italian pasta now faces over 100% combined tariffs. European pharmaceutical imports are down 20% year-over-year. The euro has strengthened 15% against the dollar since January.

If you're importing from Europe, hoping for political solutions isn't a strategy. The businesses succeeding right now are diversifying suppliers, renegotiating contracts with currency adjustments, and working with logistics partners who understand customs classification inside and out.

Trade volatility isn't temporary anymore. It's the baseline. Your supply chain strategy needs to reflect that reality.
