It’s hard to believe it has been 25 years ago today when our skies fell silent,
we changed, aviation changed!

We remember those we lost & how the privilege of flight was taken away that day. The privilege of flight returned, but we lost friends, family, colleagues & AMERICANS, forever! I will never forget!

Happy “Labrador” Weekend! 🐾

We would like to introduce you to the newest member of our “security” team, Miss Ambrosia.

Ambrosia is an English Labrador from Rocky Flats Kennels and will be working along side Mr Ridge.

You will be greeted with a wagging tail from Ambrosia and Ridge will always greet you with a bark!

As always treats are welcome! 😂

We are open normal hours on Labor Day.

I love days like this at MMI! ✈️🧇

Thank you to everyone who came out for 5th Saturday lunch and to Batter Axe Waffles for keeping us fed.

It was a beautiful day for flying, we met several of our airport neighbors and loved seeing all the all kiddos checking out the airplanes.

Also, let me just say if you see Batter Axe Waffles in town, GET ONE!
They are delicious! 🧇😋

✈️ The McMinn County Airport may be more important than you realize!

Air ambulance operations use our airport to quickly move patients to specialized hospitals and higher levels of care when time matters most.

The McMinn County Airport is more than a runway—it’s an important community asset and, at times, a vital link to lifesaving care.
🚑✈️

As always thank you to the pilots, flight nurses, medics and everyone involved to make these flights possible.
You are amazing!

Today we welcomed Dale Earnhardt Jr to beautiful McMinn County! 🏁

Well done Athens Area Chamber of Commerce, when they arrived back at the airport they were VERY complimentary of the Annual Benefit and the people at the event!

It’s always a privilege to provide aviation support for our community!
