Merry Christmas! What a weekend. What a ride. What a community. 🎄✨

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to everyone who supported and helped bring this year’s Christmas Trolley event to life. Even when the weather had other plans, the magic absolutely showed up.

A huge thank you to our incredible behind-the-scenes volunteer crew who spent months making this happen: Stacey, Lori, Britton, Bud, and Tristan. And to our trolley folks Bill & Dennis, who still rode along with us as Santa and Elf after we had to pivot to the double-decker bus.

Speaking of pivots… Sundial Travel truly rescued us, and we are so grateful to owner Bruce, leader Nicole, and their amazing drivers for keeping the show rolling.

Thank you to our Welcome Tent greeters — Jeff, Britton, Rhonda, and Scott — extra Whoville help from Cindy and Ella, and of course the Grinch and Frosty for spreading cheer everywhere they went.

This event is built on heart, creativity, and community — and we’re endlessly grateful.

and Barbey Maritime Center are your places to be for holiday Magic today! (12/21) On the pier we have candy and toys at the new Gingerbread Emporium. Stocking stuffers galore! Rebekah from is right across from us ready to go with candles and soaps, stickers, artisan foods and more. Andy and Jenny from are making the hand made pasta and sauces and Jonas from will be setting up for crepes too. is pouring the shots and serving delicious food and pastries. Whoville is up-and-going with hot cocoa, cider, and bakery treats. Grinch is riding back and forth with everyone on the double-decker bus. Come out and ho ho ho with us until 7pm tonight!

His heart grew 3 sizes yesterday, OleBob's got CRAB in, and is selling the exact book our Storytime Theater players read in her book nook TODAY! (12/21)

The shops and eateries on the pier are open for fun gifts, food, coffees...like .astoria .med.kitchen and . The homemade pasta (made in front of you by is worth the visit alone), plus is serving mulled wine starting at 1:00. Don't forget to visit Whoville for your baked goodies, for yummy smelling soaps and more, plus the new Gingerbread Emporium for candies and toys. Even ex-Rogue, now Hanthorn Taproom is pouring starting at 4pm.

Ride the double-decker bus from our friends at Sundial Travel with Grinch until 4:30 today and trolley friends Santa + Elf from 4:30-7pm. First ride leaves Barbey Center (2042 Marine Drive) this morning at 10:30. We run every 45mins until the last departure (wear your jammies as it turns dark) at 5:15pm. Storytime Theater starts on Pier 39 at 11:00 and runs on the hour until the last curtain call at 6pm tonight. Event open until 7pm both places.

There are plenty of tickets now that our ride to got bigger too! $10 adults, $8 kids, 3 and under free. We can't change our ticketing system this late in the game on our website, but if you show up, we'll get you on.

Come have a holiday adventure, make magical memories, and support the folks from the who bring you this event. You don't even need to ride - there's plenty to do for free at both venues. All details on our site at AstoriaChristmasTrolley.com.

The weather had different plans for the trolley this year, but that doesn't stop us.

Storytime Theater is a magical experience. Join Kristine Kringle () and her Merry Makers on the hour, until the last show at 6pm tonight on Pier 39. Free! Or head to Barbey Center (old brick train station by the museum) where we have lots of extra tickets on the double-decker bus since the trolley couldn't run today. The bus is bigger! The more the merrier. Join us!

Silver linings! Switching to the awesome double-decker bus opens up 20 more seats per time slot today and tomorrow. Switching our ticketing system now will be a mess--it'll be worth coming to the Barbey Center (old train station at 2042 Marine Drive, next to the ) to join the adventure. First departure is at 10:30 and every 45mins after that, until the last ride over to at 5:15pm. Both today and tomorrow. It looks like only 3 seats are left (out of 400) today, but there are really 200 more. 🎉Come support our Uppertown Business Association and ride the double-decker our partner friends at Sundial Travel have waiting for you! 🎄✨ Elf Update! Weather Has Opinions… We Have a Plan. ✨🎄

Well folks, the weather showed up with big main-character energy this weekend. After checking in with our trolley masters, we’ve all decided it’s just too rainy and windy for the Old Riverfront Trolley to run safely.

But fear not — Plan B is HERE and it’s kind of awesome.

Sundial Travel’s double-decker bus is stepping in and rolling the same schedule, same route, same magic. It’s all happening.

We’ll miss our beloved trolley and Bart the golf cart is taking the weekend off, but a warm, covered bus feels pretty cozy when the skies are being… dramatic.

Grab your rain gear, bring an umbrella, and lean into the holiday spirit with us— there’s even a brand-new Riverwalk light display twinkling along the way. ✨

✨ The joy is absolutely on board, and while we’re unable to issue refunds, we can’t wait to celebrate the holidays with you.
