Wow! The summer is flying by. Forgive me for not posting sooner! The Rankin has had a wonderful summer with great guests. Early July we welcomed Friends of the Yampa continuing their biocontrol research on the leafy spurge beetle. Collections went well and we enjoyed a cookout with the group from the Dinosaur National Monument, Colorado Dept. of Agriculture, Yampa River Leafy Spurge Project, Friends of the Yampa, Zenobia Consultants, and volunteers. Wonderful people with a passion for our environment. I hope I can go out with them next year! We have our own wonderful consultant in Ashton, Kim Ragotzkie, who helped the group in their collection. She scoped out the area. The Rankin sends everyone their best on these endeavors. We are so thankful to have had them come to our area.

We enjoyed visiting with you. To our cyclists venturing from East to West, we salute you and your fortitude! We enjoyed our motorcycle guest who is following the Continental Divide Trail.
