🌟 Meet Our Team! 🌟

Today we’re featuring Tom Hunnicutt, the Owner and General Manager of Gasperson Moving & Storage!

Tom is an Asheville native and graduate of the Asheville School. A proud veteran, Tom’s leadership background includes management roles at both UPS and the USDA Forest Service. He began his career in the moving industry in 1996 and has since worn just about every hat within Gasperson Moving & Storage. Today, he oversees all commercial relocations and serves as an AMSA Certified Office and Industrial Move Consultant.

Tom’s leadership extends far beyond our company. He has served on the North Carolina Movers Association board and executive committee, becoming President from 2009–2011.

His dedication and expertise have earned him numerous industry awards, including the 2015 James T. Dorman Distinguished Service Award and 2009 Mover of the Year from the NC Movers Association, as well as multiple customer service and quality awards from North American and Stevens Van Lines.

Tom is also deeply rooted in the Asheville community. He has been recognized with the Rotary Club of Asheville’s Distinguished Service Award and is a proud graduate of Leadership Asheville 18.

🌟 Meet Our Team! 🌟

Next up in our “Meet the Team” series is Audra Childers!

Audra has been with Gasperson Moving & Storage since 2016 and currently serves as our Business Manager, Controller, and Operations Manager — which means she wears a lot of hats and keeps our day-to-day operations running smoothly. She works hand-in-hand with our management team to make sure everything is on track, on time, and organized.

When she’s not in the office, Audra is a full-time sports mom, keeping up with her three daughters and husband as they bounce from softball to basketball to soccer. (We’re pretty sure managing all those practices is harder than running the office! 😄)

We’re grateful for Audra’s leadership, dedication, and ability to juggle it all with a smile!

Next up in our “Meet the Team” series is Dwayne Ballew, our incredible Warehouse Manager!

Dwayne has been with Gasperson Moving & Storage since 2003, bringing years of furniture building and repair experience to the team. His skills make him essential to our daily operations — managing three warehouses, handling any and all in-house repairs, and working hand-in-hand with our interior designers to ensure smooth receiving, scheduling, and installations for their clients.

When he’s not keeping our warehouses running like a well-oiled machine, Dwayne can be found enjoying life with his family — his wife, three kids, and grandson.

We’re lucky to have Dwayne’s expertise, dedication, and sense of humor on our team!

Today we’re kicking off our “Meet the Team” series with someone many of you already know — Kaleb Vess!

Kaleb has been with Gasperson Moving & Storage since 2008. He started out as a mover and, through hard work and dedication, has grown with our company into his role as Salesman. His firsthand experience in the field gives him a unique perspective that helps him provide accurate, reliable estimates for our customers.

Outside of work, Kaleb is a devoted family man — husband and dad to two wonderful kids. When he’s not helping families move, you’ll find him on the ballfield coaching his kids’ softball and baseball teams.
