I humbly ask those that are able and willing to please consider donating. This past October I did roughly 7% of the business that I did in October 2023. The substantial majority of my clientele are tourists and they simply are not coming to Asheville while we continue to rebuild. I'll be starting a social media campaign that aims to share regular updates on the number of rides given, feedback from customers and the progress of the GoFundMe. If you or someone you know is planning on travelling to Asheville for the first time, please be aware that we are coming back into the busy season and that, since we are a city of under 100,000 that sees over 11 million tourists a year, we simply do not have enough transportation options for a flood of even 20,000 tourists arriving all at once. The major problem spot is at the airport. Our airport is 15 miles away from the city, so if it's busy downtown where all the drivers are tied up, none of them are getting pings for the airport. I've heard of people waiting up to 3 hours to get picked up from AVL when a bunch of arrivals land all at once during rush hour on a Friday. Plan ahead. Don't get stranded. Roll with Joel.
