From first folds to final flights, our teams turned National Paper Airplane Day into something genuinely special. What started as a simple idea became a day full of creativity, laughter, and a little friendly competition with some surprisingly impressive flight distances along the way. 😄

Our operations teams took ownership, made it their own, and created space for their teams and travelers to connect, collaborate, and just enjoy the moment together. The energy, the smiles, and the pride coming through in these photos say it all.

It’s a great reminder that even small moments can go a long way when teams lean in, support each other, and bring their own spark to the day. That’s how we create experiences that feel meaningful and keep building a culture that’s the Best Part of the Journey for our team.

At Reno-Tahoe International Airport Director of Operations Will Cooke is proving that strong performance doesn’t depend on size or spotlight. It comes from leadership, creativity, and a team that’s all in.

Will has built something special at RNO. From expanding retail with smart impulse additions to introducing kiosks and rethinking the dining environment, his focus has been simple: make it easier for guests to engage, stay, and come back again. The result is a business that continues to grow and is driven by thoughtful improvements and a culture that takes ownership at every level.

Just as important, Will has created a team culture rooted in connection. Whether it’s celebrating wins together with an attitude of gratitude or partnering with the Washoe County School District to support students with special needs, he’s made RNO a place where people feel proud to be part of something bigger.

This week we joined the John F. Kennedy International Airport - JFK team to mark a milestone that changed the industry—the nation’s first airport terminal operated as a public-private partnership.

Over the past 25 years, Terminal 4 has grown into a truly global gateway, shaped by continuous investment, innovation, and collaboration across partners and teams. SSP America is proud to be a member of the T4 community with a dynamic collection of restaurants meant to offer travelers a true taste of NY and authentic culinary experiences.

SSP America was proud to host the opening networking reception at this year’s ACI-NA Legal Affairs Conference in Coronado bringing together legal leaders from across the airport and travel industry to connect, share perspectives, and tackle the issues shaping our business.

Great to see strong participation from across the industry, including Kevin M. Burke, President and CEO of Airports Council International - North America, and Atif Saeed, President and CEO of the San Diego International Airport, who also helped kick off the conference with the opening panel.
