One of the lessons I’ve learned after years in aviation:

The aircraft always tells the truth.

You can defer it, cover it up, or patch it together, but eventually the next technician, owner, or operator will uncover the decision that was made.

This nutplate was being held in place with zip ties.

Another one rolls into the hangar. ✈️

This beautiful Bombardier Challenger 300 has arrived at Elite Jet Solutions for a major inspection.

Major inspections are about more than checking boxes—they’re an opportunity to thoroughly evaluate the aircraft, identify potential issues before they become costly downtime events, and ensure the aircraft continues operating safely and reliably for years to come.

Our 2nd Global Express has officially rolled into the new Elite Jet Solutions facility!

For years, many of our large cabin clients would ask, “When is that new hangar coming?” Well… here we are.

Seeing another Global Express in our hangar is a special moment for me personally. During my time with Bombardier, serving as a Global Project Manager was one of the most rewarding chapters of my career. These aircraft are truly engineering masterpieces.

The Global Express continues to impress me with its incredible performance, long-range capability, and commanding presence both on and off the ramp. There’s just something about watching one of these aircraft taxi up to the hangar that never gets old.

We’re grateful for the trust our clients place in us and excited to continue expanding our support of the large cabin fleet.

Following up from our previous post on gaining access for X-Ray inspections on this Learjet 60, the findings are exactly why these inspections matter.

During inspection, cracks were discovered under the crew windshield frames — an area that isn’t visible without proper access and inspection methods. Catching structural issues early is critical for protecting the aircraft, crew, and long-term value of the airframe.

Another important reminder for operators and ground crews: the main entry door on the LJ60 is a structural component of the aircraft and must be fully closed and locked anytime the aircraft is being moved. Simple procedural discipline can prevent major structural damage and costly repairs.

The details behind the panels are what keep these aircraft flying safely.

Gaining access for a 12-Year Inspection is where the real story begins. Panels open, systems exposed, and years of operation brought into focus. This phase is critical — because what you can’t see on the outside is what defines the health of the aircraft.

Our team is diving in with one goal: deliver a clean, detailed inspection while keeping safety, quality, and communication at the forefront every step of the way.

The LJ60 platform continues to prove why it remains one of the most respected aircraft in business aviation — and we’re proud to keep supporting the fleet.

NBAA in New Orleans was definitely an adventure.

Managed to get my vehicle booted… twice… in the same parking lot. Long story. No fruit involved. At this point all you can do is laugh 🤣

On the positive side, we connected with some potential new clients, which was the entire goal, and consumed enough Cajun food to last the rest of the year. I’ve never been to a city where the food ratings were consistently that high across the board.

One major industry takeaway we discovered that owners and operators need to be aware of:

Public Service Announcement for anyone operating or installing Starlink systems on aircraft — if a Starlink antenna/system fails after installation, the manufacturer will reportedly cover replacement parts under their T&Cs, BUT labor is not covered.

That means customers could potentially be billed the same labor hours it originally took to install the system all over again just to replace failed equipment. Depending on aircraft type and installation complexity, this could become a significant unexpected expense for owners/operators.

If you’re an MX provider, now is the time to ensure your customers fully understand this exposure before install approvals and future maintenance events.

The industry is moving fast. Communication and transparency with customers matters more than ever.
