In the « old » days you could add pages, now you need a new passport.

In addition to checking your passport expiration date, make sure you also have enough blank pages (for visas, entry stamps, etc.) to travel. Some countries require that your passport have two to four blank pages and some airlines will not allow you to board if you do not meet this requirement.

If you’re running out of pages, it’s time to renew! Check to see if you meet the requirements to renew online at travel.state.gov/renewonline.

Getting things finalized for this summer's trips to Senegal and Tunisia and came across this photo. It brings back smiles and memories of the summer when I first met Sophie at l'Université Ibn der Thiam, a student in the Masters of Tourism program in Thiès, the 3rd largest city in Senegal.

I stepped out of my comfort zone today and offered a professional development session for about 50 Canadian French teachers in the Ottawa-Carleton school board via Google Meet this morning. I realized how much I value in-person interactions to gain visual cues and to read the room, but I hope it was useful, interesting and valuable for them to learn about Senegal: geography, daily life, social activism, a few cultural concepts, and shared resources they can access in the future. And hopefully a few may consider traveling with Vive someday, to experience it themselves. 🫶
