While their work would continue regardless of our partnership, you, the traveler, have a unique opportunity to get involved and truly make a difference. You will not only support our elected NGO’s by traveling on a Nanda Journey, but, you will commit your time, compassion and skills to work alongside the community. Whether that be installing much needed equipment, painting community buildings or teaching English to the underprivileged, you will make a difference in the lives of others, and undoubtedly for yourselves.

There’s a part of the world we can’t stop thinking about right now.

Greenland.

Not just for its landscapes, but for its people, its culture, and its place in the world.

We’ve been exploring the idea of a small journey rooted in something simple but powerful:
Connection.

The kind that happens when people sit together, share stories, and begin to understand each other beyond headlines or assumptions.

It’s early days, but it feels important.

If we created something like this - thoughtful, respectful, human - would you be interested in learning more?

Austria at Christmas is something truly special.

Think twinkling markets, centuries old traditions, music echoing through historic cities and moments shared with local communities that bring the season to life in a way you can feel.

This December, we are returning to Austria with a small group journey designed to go beyond the expected. From Vienna to Salzburg, this experience is about connection, culture and discovering the stories behind the traditions.

We are especially excited to be joined again by Professor Orin James, whose passion for Austrian history and culture adds a deeper layer to the experience.

If this has ever been on your list, now is the time to explore it.

Last year Dominic and I traveled through Tanzania… and something unexpected happened.

Every single day we found ourselves using the same word.

Surreal.

Not just because of the wildlife or the landscapes, but because of how everything came together. Community. Culture. Connection. And those quiet moments where you realize you are experiencing something truly special.

So instead of sending an itinerary, I tried something different.

I recorded a short video to show what the journey actually felt like and to invite others to join us in October 2026.

Every image in this video was captured during our own travels. Nothing staged. Just real moments that stayed with us.

This is one of those journeys that is hard to explain… but easy to feel once you see it.

If you know someone who has ever dreamed about Africa, or is ready for something deeper than a traditional safari, I would love you to share this with them.

Our top 5 tips for doing good while traveling.

- stay in locally owned boutique hotels
- explore your destination with a local guide
- buy your souvenirs from local artists and avoid the "key chain" trinkets
- incorporate indigenous culture in to your itinerary
- get hands on with a local cooking, music or art class

Why?
- supporting local and independent businesses does more that provide much needed income
------ it protects cultural heritage
------ provides jobs and opportunity
------ incentivises the next generation to stay close
------ supports local communities and non-profits who are doing great work
------ above all, it enhances and improves your overall travel experience!!

Every day, around 2 to 3 million people pass through US airport security.

Each traveler pays a $5.60 TSA fee as part of their ticket.
That adds up to more than $4 billion a year.

The total TSA budget sits closer to $11 to $12 billion.

So travelers are contributing billions annually.

And yet right now:
Security lines are stretching to hours
TSA agents are working without pay
Airports are under real strain

Here is the part many people don’t realize.

Not all of those traveler fees go to TSA.
A significant portion is redirected elsewhere.

If millions of everyday journeys help fund the system…
why are TSA agents not being paid?

Today, the world meets in a rare and beautiful moment of alignment.

Eid Mubarak to all who celebrate.

A joyful Persian New Year.

And a gentle welcome to the Spring Equinox, as light and dark find their balance.

Across cultures, faiths, and traditions, this day carries a shared message of renewal, reflection, and hope. It reminds us that no matter where we stand in the world, we are connected by the same turning of the earth, the same rising light, the same possibility for new beginnings.

At Nanda Journeys, we are constantly inspired by these intersections. They are where understanding deepens, where stories are shared, and where humanity feels just a little closer.

As we step into this new season, may it bring not only personal renewal, but a collective softening. A reminder that peace is not a distant ideal, but something we can nurture in small, meaningful ways every day.

May the months ahead carry a quiet momentum toward understanding, compassion, and connection.

Here’s to a world where peace is not just hoped for, but felt, lived, and shared.

With warmth and hope,
Nanda Journeys

🐨✨ A Day at Healesville Sanctuary – Where Conservation Comes Alive! ✨🦘

Our group spent an unforgettable day exploring Healesville Sanctuary, and it was unanimous—this was a true highlight of our journey so far! Surrounded by the sounds of native birds and the curious faces of koalas, wombats, and platypus, we could have happily stayed all day.

What makes this place so special isn’t just the incredible close-up encounters—it’s the impact. Healesville Sanctuary is a leader in protecting Australia’s most vulnerable species. From breeding programs for endangered animals like the Leadbeater’s possum and helmeted honeyeater to world-class veterinary care and habitat restoration, every visit directly supports the fight against extinction. 💚

This is conservation in action, and it reminds us how powerful collective care can be. Together, we can help keep Australia’s remarkable wildlife thriving for generations to come.

Warning: extreme cuteness ahead! 📸🐾
