We are excited to announce a new collaboration between Nanda Journeys, and the Metropolitan Black Bar NYC (MBBA), Deborah Enix-Ross, and Justina K. Rivera.

In February 2027, we will welcome a small group of attorneys and legal professionals to South Africa for an immersive delegation exploring constitutional democracy, rule of law, international arbitration, human rights, and global legal practice through direct engagement with South African legal leaders, scholars, and institutions.

This special program will be co-led by Deborah Enix-Ross, Past President of the American Bar Association, and Justina K. Rivera, President-Elect of the Metropolitan Black Bar Association. We are honored to work alongside such respected leaders in bringing this unique opportunity to the legal community.

One of the things we admire most about the MBBA is its commitment to welcoming all who share its mission of advancing excellence, leadership, and opportunity within the legal profession. Consistent with that spirit, this delegation is open to MBBA members, members of other bar associations, and attorneys interested in expanding their global perspective through meaningful professional exchange.

Beyond the professional agenda, participants will experience South Africa's remarkable story through visits to Constitution Hill, Robben Island, Soweto, the Apartheid Museum, a private dinner with Christo Brand, Nelson Mandela's former prison guard turned trusted friend, and time in Cape Town and Pilanesberg National Park.
