This is a MUST DO float!!
Here are the details:
Where we launched:
We put the inflatable tunes in at Chenango Forks boat launch near Davey's and floated down to The B**r Tree in Port Crane.
Duration:
It took us 6 hours!! I would plan for a full day and to be launched by noon to ensure you are back before dark.
What did we see?
We saw 2 eagles on separate islands!! 1 Blue heron and 1 Grey heron
Who is the float good for?
Adventurous folks! Moderate skill level (need to be able to navigate around the islands, get out of the tube if it's too shallow to float and walk on uneven river rocks. (We got out twice)
Overall review:
It was very peaceful and that section of the River was clean. The inflatables were more comfy than I expected. We brought along an extra inflatable to carry our supplies for the day.
