Our products are not for everyone. More specifically, they are for people that want something truly different and unique in their stompbox arsenal, and are comfortable paying a little premium for a U.S manufactured product that is unlike anything else out there. Crazy people that desire that certain analog aesthetic in their tone while still demanding the ability to tweak everything, recall those

settings at will, and explore new areas of parameter controllability, modulation, and on-the-fly automation.

We’ve been starting to get some questions about Big Time’s power requirements… which are pretty whopping. It needs 1A, which is about double our next-most hungry pedal and more than a lot of power supplies can provide. For this reason we’re including two different power solutions in the box with Big Time:

-A standalone power supply

-A current doubling adapter cable (for use with your existing pedalboard power supply)

However you prefer to power your pedal, it’s covered.
Both ship free with Big Time.

I got to hang out with my friend David Torn today on his birthday. He’s doing a video for our workshop series tomorrow for Big Time. I can’t wait.

David is also playing on Friday @ 730pm at The Pattern Room w/ JT Bates. Address below:

One of my fav memories with David’s music was this song “Spoke With Folks.” It was one of a handful of songs I had on my phone when I was camping in the Boundary Waters with some of my best friends. We just stared at the stars and kept listening to it over and over again. Anytime I listen to it, it just brings me right back.

I also remember (long before I met David) I watched "Lars and the Real Girl" I think maybe 8 or so months after my brother died. Sometimes Ryan Gosling’s mannerisms would remind me a little of Chase. I remember thinking the music for that film was so special. Something like a dozen
years later I was hanging out with David in his studio and saw the movie poster and was like “Wait you did the music for that movie?!?!”

David’s musical contributions are immense. He is one of one. So lucky to be his friend.

Big Time ships with 10 big presets, and each one is a unique starting point for exploring a different side of the pedal. We asked John Snyder – the analog engineer for Big Time – to tour through each of them and show us what’s possible.

This is how to find a playful, warbly, vibrato using Preset 5 as a jumping off point.

Just a little PSA. I was told on The Gear Page that there seems to be a general non awareness (I’m sure this is our fault fwiw) that we still have some *brand new* Preamp MKII for sale at www.chaseblisslegacy.com. It appears used prices for this pedal on Reverb are going for higher than our retail price when there’s still 64 units available. So if you are in the USA and you want this pedal: we still have 64 left (as of this post) you can get it for $749, ships within 1 business day. When they are gone they are gone. This pedal is slated to be discontinued because it uses opto technology (same situation as Thermae, Condor, Warped Vinyl HiFi, etc) which is outlined at www.chaseblisslegacy.com/legacy-blog

Strangely enough, I think this video we just published is the best way to learn BIG TIME and what its capable of. This is our collaborator John Snyder from Electronic Audio Experiments walking through the 10 factory presets and how those can be used as "jumping off points" for different BIG TIME sonic exploration. If pre-ordered a BIG TIME or are considering one, I really think it's required viewing:
