Last weekend, I was lucky enough to visit George Town, in the Exuma Islands of the Bahamas. There to help deliver a boat back to Florida, the owner had kindly invited me to escape the cold a couple days early- does one say no?
It was my first time visiting this area and there were a record 400+ boats in the anchorage, partially thanks to the Annual George Town Regatta.
After an easy flight & quick check-in through customs (as the power to the building was out), I arrived Friday evening in time for a lovely sunset & bonfire on the beach. Saturday was the cruisers Variety Show at the famed Chat-n-Chill. Afterward, we took a stroll to the ocean side of Stocking Island via an Art Trail. There was a nearby squall, which made for some nice skyscapes to accent the scenery.
Sunday we went into town for lunch & boat trip provisions and then I swam from the mooring to the beach for more wandering about. We set sail on Monday and arrived to final port pre-dawn Thursday.
Hope you enjoy these photos I took along the way!
