🚢 CRUISE PORT MONDAY: COZUMEL, MEXICO 🌴

If you've cruised the Western Caribbean, chances are you've seen COZUMEL on an itinerary — but don't make the mistake of thinking, "I've already been there, so I've done Cozumel."

There is SO much more to this island! 💙Here are some of my favorite ways to spend a port day:

🤿 EL CIELO & REEF SNORKELING
This is one of the experiences Cozumel is famous for! Boat excursions can take you out to the reefs for snorkeling and then to El Cielo, a gorgeous shallow sandbar known for incredibly clear turquoise water and starfish. El Cielo is only accessible by boat, so this is one I'd plan as an excursion.

🌿 PUNTA SUR ECO BEACH PARK
Want a little bit of everything? Punta Sur Eco Beach Park combines gorgeous beaches with nature, wildlife, lagoons and the Celarain Lighthouse. You can even take a boat ride through the lagoon and keep an eye out for crocodiles!

🌴 CHANKANAAB BEACH ADVENTURE PARK
Chankanaab Adventure Beach Park is a great choice when your group can't agree on ONE thing. 😂 You can snorkel, enjoy the beach, wander the botanical gardens or add additional activities. It's also conveniently located a short taxi ride from the cruise area.

YOU DON'T HAVE TO BOOK A CRUISE EXCURSION TO HAVE A GREAT DAY IN COZUMEL! 👏

Here are 3 ideas for exploring on your own:
🏖️ BEACH CLUB DAY
Grab a taxi and spend the day at a beach club. Paradise Beach Cozumel is one option if you want a resort-style day with a beach, large pool, food, drinks and optional water activities.

🌮 EXPLORE SAN MIGUEL
Slow down and actually experience Cozumel! Walk the waterfront, explore the shops and side streets, grab some authentic Mexican food and enjoy the island without a schedule. Cozumel's tourism office specifically recommends downtown exploring and sampling local Yucatecan and seafood specialties.

🚕 TAKE A RIDE AROUND THE ISLAND
Hire a taxi/driver and explore! Head toward Cozumel's less-developed east side, stop for pictures, check out different beaches and see a completely different side of the island. The local tourism office even recommends an island loop as a way to experience the quieter eastern coast.

Cozumel can be a snorkel day, an adventure day, a beach day, a foodie day or a "put me in a chair by that turquoise water and leave me alone" day. 😂🌴

Sweet & Savory Sunday: What Did Las Vegas Taste Like? 🍩🥔

We went to Las Vegas with plans to see the sights.

Apparently, we also went to EAT. 😂

There was pasta. There were pastries. There was a Wizard of Oz donut. There were some questionable food decisions.

And then there was THE potato.

A baked potato. Truffle butter. Mac & cheese. Lobster.

At some point, you just have to admit defeat.

We surrendered. 😂

Vegas, you were delicious!
