INS Logistics seeks a responsible CDL B Box Truck Driver to distribute freight promptly to our customers. You will represent our company in a professional and cost-effective manner to increase our profitability and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
Deliver a wide variety of items to different addresses and through different routes
Follow routes and time schedule
Touch and No touch freight
Load, unload, prepare, inspect and operate a delivery vehicle
Follow DOT regulations and safety standards
Proven working experience as a Delivery Driver
Valid driver's license
Ability to operate vehicles in a variety of weather and traffic conditions
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Good driving record with no traffic violation
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Ability to move and lift 50 pounds and maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs with appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person.
Ability, on a consistent basis, to bend/twist at the waist and knees.
Ability, on a consistent basis, to communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and other team members.
Ability, on a consistent basis, to perform work activities requiring cooperation and instruction
Ability, on a consistent basis, to function in a fast-paced environment, under substantial pressure.
Ability, on a consistent basis, to maintain attention and concentration for extended periods of time.
Ability, on a consistent basis, to work with minimal supervision

Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance
Plan routes and meet delivery schedules

Comply with driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures

Collect and verify delivery instructions
Report defects, accidents or violations

Skills:

Proven work experience as a driver
Hands on experience GPS
Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly

No recent moving or driving violations

Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc)

Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions

Collect and verify delivery instructions
Report defects, accidents or violations

Skills needed:
Proven work experience as a truck driver
Hands on experience with GPS
Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly
Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations
No recent moving or driving violations
Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc)
Valid truck driving license

Transport finished goods and raw materials over land to and from manufacturing plants or retail and distribution centers
Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance
Plan routes and meet delivery schedules
Document and log work/rest periods and miles spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts
Input “macros” into our automated system for each stage of the loading and unloading process
Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures
Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
Collect and verify delivery instructions
Report defects, accidents or violations
Skills

Proven work experience as a truck driver
Hands on experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS, AVL units, CB etc)
Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly
Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations
No recent moving or driving violations
Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc)
Valid truck driving license
