Hodges Field (4GA0) is one of the southeast's most well regarded flying getaways, located just south of historic Andersonville, Georgia. The field is a beautiful 1380’ x 200' grass runway (8-26) available for RC and general aviation flying of all kinds. The property is also home to a lake designed for RC float flying and RC boating enthusiasts. The picturesque setting is a haven for many RC enthus

iasts and home to such events as the Southeastern Electric Flight Festival (SEFF). While here we invite you to take a load off, relax, and enjoy the facility. We think once here you will agree, “This is what an airfield should be”.

Got this from Mary Boone today. Many of you will remember Chris Joiner as a long time member of the Columbus Ft. Benning RC Club and the founder of the Giant Scale Warbird Association.

Our dear friend Chris Joiner passed away Friday, February 7th from Parkinson’s disease. A Celebration of Life will be held at McMullen Funeral Home, 3874 Gentian Boulevard, Columbus, Georgia on Monday, February 10 at 11:00 a.m. eastern time. The family will receive friends at the funeral home following the service. The family requests donations be made to: APDA Ga.
