Tim Rogers joined Carlile in 2001.

These days he’s on the road in Anchorage, running freight to retail stores across town.

He picked up his 25-year jacket at the September drivers' meeting, with Todd Vincent, Bryan Yorke, and Leon Dwiggins there to thank him.

Carlile has a new president. Bryan Yorke stepped into the role in August, after running our commercial team through this year's integration with Naniq, Powered by Carlile.

When asked what informed his decision to lead the company, he talked about the people.

"There's nothing more real than how passionate people are, and how much they love this company. It felt like a real honor to be the leader of a group that's so passionate about what they do."

Chris Rye joined this month as our vice president of commercial. He started out as an engineer, building ships. Most recently, he ran sales at TOTE Maritime Alaska, and before that, he ran their operations.

Asked what drew him to Carlile, Chris talked about the people.

"The singular thread is the people. It's always been. Forty-six years in business, you're doing something right."
