King Kamehameha Day pays tribute to the visionary leader who brought the Hawaiian Islands together, establishing a legacy of stewardship and leadership that still guides Hawai'i.

Throughout the islands, ceremonies and parades celebrate the values of unity and service to the people and places we call home.

Our team operating as Naniq, in Kapōlei, Honolulu, Kailua-Kona, Kahului, and Līhuʻe reflect these values in the work they do together every day.

What a day for the Carlile crew. 👏

Carlile had 16 drivers compete at the 2026 Alaska Trucking Association Truck Driving Championship, with four finishing in the top three of their class.

🥇 Troy Foote – 1st Place, Flatbed (2-time back-to-back state Flatbed champion)
🥈 Brad Hinkes – 2nd Place, 4-Axle
🥉 Jack Jessee – 3rd Place, Twins
🥉 Manny Rivera – 3rd Place, 4-Axle (1st time competing)

Troy will represent Alaska at the National Truck Driving Championships in Pittsburgh this August.

The drivers were the ones competing, but they had a lot of community behind them. Coworkers, friends, and families came out to cheer from the sidelines, gather at the Carlile booth, and celebrate the hard work these drivers do every day.

Congratulations to every professional driver who competed this year.

The roster is locked.

This Saturday, 16 of Carlile's top drivers are competing in the Alaska Trucking Association's Truck Driving Championship in Anchorage. It's our largest lineup in the 15 years we've sponsored the event.

We've got a title to defend. Last year, 4 of our 14 drivers placed 1st in their categories and earned a trip to Nationals in Minneapolis. To win it all this year, drivers must survive a brutal gauntlet of challenges that includes a written exam, pre-trip inspections, and a precision skills course. Drivers are judged on complex maneuvers like parallel parking, docking, and weaving massive rigs through traffic cones where victory is measured in inches. Saturday is Family Day. Bring the kids out to watch world-class precision driving from the sidelines. The whole community is welcome. Main event kicks off at 9:00 AM at Span Alaska on 6128 Electron Drive.
