Update on the Dalton ⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️

🚧 Dalton Highway Construction Update

Construction at Dalton Highway Milepost 315.5 will begin Wednesday, August 26, at 6 a.m.

From August 26 through September 20, expect single-lane traffic and 24-hour flagging operations between Mileposts 314.5 and 316. Delays are expected to be no more than 20 minutes.

Highway closure: The Dalton Highway will be closed from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, August 28, between Mileposts 314.5 and 316 due to a culvert replacement.

Please plan ahead and allow extra travel time.

🚨 It's Brake Safety Week!

August 23–29, 2026 is CVSA Brake Safety Week, and inspectors across North America will take a closer look at CMV brake systems — with special attention on brake drums and air disc brake rotors.

Before you roll, check:

➡️ Brake hoses & tubing — chafing, kinks, cracks, leaks
➡️ Pushrod travel & slack adjusters — excessive travel or improper operation
➡️ Brake linings, pads & shoes — excessive wear or damage
➡️ Drums & rotors — cracks, excessive wear or structural damage
➡️ Air system — listen for leaks and verify proper operation

Find it before the inspector does. Fix it before you get on the road.
