One of the best tour you can do in Alaska is dogsledding. Cruise line offer it but normally it cost more and running out of spot very quickly. The following 2 helicopter dogsledding tour are near the Anchorage and will be flexible pending on your pre-cruise or post cruise schedule.

We pick Alaska Helicopter Tours and have a wonderful experience. We rent a car from the airport and drove 1 ½ hr to Knik River Lodge. You can stay at the lodge overnight, but our schedule won’t allow it. I strongly recommend you to add the landing at the lower glacier to the dogsledding tour, it’s equally amazing experience with dogsledding. This one, not too many people can say they did it, because not many tours offer it.
