Can you believe it’s almost September? It’s about this time some of our dock staff start heading back to school. Shoutout to our incredible dock team who work hard every day to make sure our planes are clean, fueled, loaded, and ready for the next adventure. While this is a seasonal position, we sure miss them in the winter.

In the heart of Lake Clark National Park, Dick Proenneke built a log cabin by hand and lived alone in the Alaskan wilderness for nearly 30 years leaving his cabin for the last time when he was in his 80s. His craftsmanship and quiet resilience became a lasting symbol of self reliance and deep respect for the land. Standing at his cabin today feels like stepping into a living story of solitude, simplicity, and connection to nature. We offer tours to this slice of heaven on Twin Lakes.
