One last exhale before the new work year begins✨👩‍🏫

I’m stepping into a new chapter, and about to experience quite a bit of change this year. So, I thought there was no better way to savor the end of summer than a quick getaway to Napa Valley 🍷☀️👒

Here’s How I Spent the Day:

🍽️ A leisurely lunch with a magnificent view at Auberge du Soleil, Auberge Collection.

Auberge is often touted as the finest luxury resort in all of Napa Valley — perhaps even the finest in all of California.

What I enjoy most at Auberge, aside from the extraordinary grounds and hospitality, is the serenity of being so far removed from every day stressors 🧘‍♀️ It’s nestled in the hills and you feel cradled by nature 🌱

🍷🍇🏰 An afternoon at one of Napa Valley’s most historically significant wineries — Chateau Montelena Winery.

We enjoyed an intimate small group tour of the Estate with Keeley, who shared insightful stories of the winery’s past and present ✨

🛍️ And of course, no trip would be complete without a little shopping in Calistoga and St. Helena, along with a chocolate chip cookie from The Model Bakery 🍪

Side note — as far as Napa’s bakeries go, I prefer Bouchon for scones and Model for cookies. I felt like you should know that important distinction 🤭

There’s something particularly lovely about making the most of my summers as an Educator 🌸

We spend so much of the year pouring into others; I think we deserve to pour a little back into ourselves, too. No pun intended…🍷

And weekends like this are a perfect reminder of why I love being a California-based Travel Advisor ✈️

California has SO much to offer beyond any single destination ☝️

From the magic of Disneyland Resort, to the vineyards of Napa Valley, and so many beautiful places in between 🐻🌲🌊

Disney absolutely nailed this renovation! The rooms feel brighter, more modern, and more functional, while still keeping the African-inspired details that make Animal Kingdom Lodge so unique.

🙋‍♀️ I’ve stayed in countless hotel rooms in my life, and this might just be my favorite!

The Deluxe Studio is perfect for couples and small families ✨

✨ Here’s what’s new:

🛏️ A brand-new Murphy bed replaces the old pull-out sofa (and it’s much more comfortable!)
🚿 A completely redesigned bathroom with gorgeous tile, glass shower doors, dual rainfall + handheld shower heads, and built-in dispensers.
☕ An updated kitchenette featuring a Keurig coffee maker, refreshed backsplash, and new finishes.
🔌 USB & USB-C charging ports throughout the room, plus an upgraded smart TV.
🪵 New luxury vinyl flooring (goodbye carpet!), updated lighting, refreshed artwork, and colorful décor that gives the room a fresh feel without losing its safari charm.

🎅 Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party returns to Magic Kingdom on select nights, bringing exclusive entertainment, holiday overlays, Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmas Parade, Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks, and some of the most festive atmosphere you’ll find all year!

✨ 🪩 Disney Jollywood Nights is back at Hollywood Studios, offering an exclusive evening with specialty entertainment and treats, special character greetings, the return of ‘Glisten’ ice skating show, dancing at the Twilight Soirée at the Tip Top Club, all with a glamorous old-Hollywood holiday vibe.
