🚨 Florida’s Turnpike Heroes in Action 🚨 When Road Ranger Eduardo (pictured left) suddenly fell ill and collapsed at the Orlando South lot, it was his fellow Road Ranger, Luis (pictured right), who rushed in without hesitation.

Thanks to Luis’ quick response, support from our TMC team, FHP Troopers Ellsworth and Ho**er, and Orange County Fire-Rescue, Eduardo received care within minutes. 💪🚒🚓

Luis stayed by Eduardo’s side, kept him calm, and even notified his family; actions that reflect the heart and bravery of our Road Ranger family.

Florida’s Turnpike and the entire TMC team are incredibly proud of Luis’ professionalism and compassion. He recently received a Letter of Commendation and plaque in recognition of his heroic actions.

January is Move Over Month. Drivers are required to move over a lane for ALL VEHICLES stopped on the side of the road with lights flashing. If it's not safe to move into another lane, reduce your speed to 20 mph below the posted limit (Slow down to 5 mph if the limit is 20 mph or less).

When a driver fails to move over for stopped or disabled vehicles on the roadside, they put the safety of law enforcement, first responders, service professionals and all motorists gravely at risk. Violators will face a fine, fees and points on their driving record.

The simple act of moving over gives law enforcement, emergency first responders and service workers adequate space to do their jobs and can greatly increase safety on Florida’s roadways.

Move Over, Florida. It’s the law.
