I have been in a funk lately. I haven’t picked up a torch in months. This morning while thinking about my boy I had an idea. Before Layne came home for his last visit before he left for his first deployment, he had gotten his first tattoo. Although I’m not crazy about it, it’s his tattoo, and it means something to him and represents a part of his journey as a United States Sailor. I got busy with my version of his tattoo on a piece of scrap stainless steel. It felt good being in shop again even though my side kick is now on a boat somewhere doing what he loves. I think its about time I get back to doing what I love too!
