MEET MEAGHAN SLATER

This week's featured agent is Meaghan Slater, REALTOR®, e-PRO, GRI. Meaghan is starting her fifth year of real estate! She has two designations, e-PRO® Certification and Graduate of REALTOR® Institute (GRI). We asked her what her favorite thing about real estate is and she said, "I love every aspect of real estate. I wouldn't say I specialize in anything, but I have a lot of experience in everything. One thing I LOVE is following new construction and new developments around our area." Before entering real estate, Meaghan worked for Bank of America for seven years.

We asked Meaghan all of the important questions so you can get to know her better:

If you were in the zombie apocalypse, who are 2 people you want on your team?
My husband and his best friend Brandon. I think they both are already set for the zombie apocalypse. HAHA

What is your least favorite pizza topping?
I don't think there would be a slice of pizza I would turn down. I was going to say anchovies, but I haven't ever tried it. It just sounds terrible.

What’s your most used emoji?

You have your own late-night talk show... who’s your first guest?
Tom Ferry! I am a super dork when it comes to real estate people.

What’s the craziest thing on your bucket list?
I don't know about "craziest", but I want the full Disney World experience.

Tell us about your family.
Family life is so important to me. I started in this industry so that I could have the flexibility to spend as much time as possible with my kids while they are still young. I still work full-time hours, but a lot of my time is spent working while they are sleeping! I have been married for seven years to my amazing husband, Jake Slater. I always tell people we are the perfect match because he sells cars & I sell houses! If you haven't shopped at Country with Integrity, do it (Shameless plug). I have TWO beautiful children. A five-year-old girl and a three-year-old boy. I am just a few weeks away from having my third child, a little boy! I say I have two full-time jobs, momming and real estate. I wouldn't change it for the world.

Who are your pets?
I have one dog named Goo! Our sweet black lab, Tanzie, passed away a few months ago.

What's your favorite thing to do outside of real estate?
I am very passionate about Storybridge in Amarillo. If you know me, you have heard me talking about it. I help with their marketing and events so I spend a lot of my free time doing that.
