Today, we celebrate Bruce Riley and his retirement from the Alma Transit Center!

Bruce, thank you for your hard work, dedication, and the time you have given to serving our community. Public transportation is about more than just giving people a ride — it's about helping people stay connected, maintain their independence, and get where they need to go. Your contributions have been an important part of that mission.

As you begin this exciting new chapter, all of us at the Alma Transit Center wish you the very best. May your retirement be filled with happiness, good health, new adventures, and plenty of time to enjoy the things you love!

Alma Transit Center — Dispatch Center Hours Change

Effective November 1, 2026, the Alma Transit Center Dispatch Center will close daily at 4:00 PM.

Our Buses and vans will still be on the road until 8:00pm (no change).

To help ensure we can accommodate your transportation needs:

Please schedule all trips at least 24 hours in advance. We will do our best to accommodate same-day ride requests, but same-day rides are not guaranteed.

You can still access your account after 4:00 PM through the Alma Transit App.

You may also call 989-463-6016 and select Option 1 to:
Check the status of your scheduled ride or
Cancel a scheduled ride

Please plan your transportation needs accordingly.

Thank you for your understanding as we make this change to our dispatch operations.

The Alma Transit Center (ATC) has added an IVR feature to our phone system!

IVR (Interactive Voice Response) is an automated phone technology that allows callers to interact with a computer-operated system using voice commands or their touch-tone keypad.

This new feature will make it easier and more convenient for our riders to:

✅ Check the status of their trips without waiting to speak with a dispatcher
✅ Cancel scheduled rides without having to speak with a dispatcher

🕓 The new IVR system will be active starting at 4:00 PM today!

📞 A couple of important things to know:

You must be calling from the phone number associated with your rider account to use the IVR system.

If you have multiple rider accounts that use the same phone number, you can also access the system using your Rider Identification Number. You can find this number in the Alma Transit App, or you can contact a dispatcher who can provide it to you.

At ATC, we are always looking for ways to improve your experience and make using public transportation easier and more convenient. We hope you take advantage of this new feature and find it valuable!

Thank you for riding with the Alma Transit Center! 🚌💙
