In case you missed it, yesterday I announced our new brand Simply Blissful!🌼
Here’s the story of why I chose the name Simply Blissful.
Bliss was my Grandma’s family name.
She helped raise me and taught me how to create. Some of my favorite childhood memories are sitting beside her, making things.
I was sitting at my desk a few months back and had a flashback to sitting at my Grandma’s desk as a child. I remembered looking out the window, and thinking that someday I wanted to live a creative life.
I had no idea what that meant then. I just knew that I loved crafting and making things.
Years later, I lost her. In the middle of my grief, I lost myself. I struggled for a long time figuring out how to live life after she was gone. And then I started thinking differently about what I wanted that life to look like.
Eventually, this led me to start Placed by Grace.
For the last seven years, I have been so grateful and blessed to see how much Placed by Grace has grown. All glory to God.
Over the past couple years (at least) I’ve felt a tug deep in my soul that I needed to do something more. I wanted the space to pursue all of my creative ideas for Placed by Grace- beyond just clay earrings.
Then I realized that the little girl, sitting at her grandma’s desk, was still dreaming of the creative life she wanted.
So, Simply Blissful is a tribute to where this dream began, a reminder of my Grandma who taught me to create, and a reminder to myself that there can still be joy in making something beautiful… even in the hard seasons.
I hope Simply Blissful becomes a place for us to create, gather, grow, and bloom.
