Sick of working for a large corporation? Ready to operate new classic equipment? We are seeking a CDL Class A Driver to join our company! We are a single truck company looking for a driver to safely and efficiently pick up and deliver freight in and around the state of Wisconsin/Minnesota/Illinois/Iowa.
Scope of work:
• You would be operating a 2021 Classic Peterbilt 389 Semi with a 48ft or 53ft Conestoga trailer
• You will be working directly with the owners on a daily basis
• You will be working Monday - Friday (Home every night)
• Typical work day is 12-14 hours (Overtime may be mandatory)
Responsibilities:
• Safely and efficiently operate a semi w/trailer
• Communicate well with customers and dispatch
• Load and unload cargo safely and efficiently
• Properly track and complete shipping documents
• Keep equipment clean and in good operating condition
• Inspect truck before and after trip
Qualifications:
• Must have a minimum of 2 years of verifiable open deck experience or 5 years of verifiable Class A CDL experience (will entertain candidates without experience listed above on a very limited case by case basis)
• Oversize load experience would be a plus but not required
• Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills is a plus but not required
• Must be knowledgeable on load securement
• Ability to handle physical workload (Lift 100lbs regularly and be able to climb up and down equipment while loading and unloading)
• Strong work ethic (Long work days)
• Must be a NON Tabaco user and be able to pass a drug test
*Full-Time Year Round Work*
$17.00 - $25.00 per hour
