🍂 Happy First Day of Fall from Encore Moving & Storage! 🍁

Fall is officially here, and it’s one of our favorite seasons to move! If a move is on your calendar, here are a few tips to make moving day a little easier:

📦 Declutter before you pack. There’s no reason to pay to move things you no longer need.

📝 Label boxes clearly. Include the room and a quick description of what’s inside.

🍁 Prepare for changing weather. Fall can mean rain, leaves, mud and cooler temperatures. Keep towels, floor protection and weather-sensitive items handy.

🚚 Know who is actually moving you. Before hiring a long-distance mover, verify whether you’re dealing with a carrier or a broker, check their USDOT information, and understand who will physically handle your belongings.

🔎 Do your homework before you book. The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration provides consumers with information about choosing a mover, understanding your rights and spotting moving fraud through ProtectYourMove.gov⁠.

Most importantly, ask questions. A reputable mover should be willing to explain the process, pricing and what you can expect from pickup through delivery.

💚 A little appreciation post for all the GOOD people out there.

In this business, we meet people during some pretty big moments in their lives. Sometimes they’re exciting new beginnings, and sometimes people are moving because life has thrown something difficult their way.

And yet, we are constantly reminded just how many genuinely kind people there are in this world.

Customers who make sure our guys have cold drinks. People who order them lunch even though our crews generally don’t stop for a traditional lunch break. Customers who take a few minutes to talk with them, laugh with them, thank them, and simply treat them with kindness.

And then there are those who choose to tip our crews. Tipping is never required or expected, but when someone does, our guys are incredibly grateful. They work hard, and those gestures mean more to them than people probably realize.

It can be easy to look online, turn on the news, or read the latest argument on social media and feel like the world has gotten a little crazy.

But our job gives us a different perspective.

We get to meet good people every single day.

Kind people. Generous people. Funny people. People dealing with their own struggles who still think about someone else.

So from all of us at Encore Moving & Storage, thank you. 💚

Thank you for the lunches, the cold waters, the tips, the conversations, the laughs, the patience, and sometimes just a simple “thank you” at the end of a long day.

There are still a whole lot of wonderful people in this world, and we feel pretty lucky that our job allows us to meet so many of you. 💚

We are beyond thrilled to hear this wonderful news!

Thanks to efforts led by Pete Hegseth and the PCS Joint Task Force, military moves are now being better protected. This is a huge step forward for our active-duty service members, veterans, and their families.

No matter your political position, this is a win for everyone. Ensuring our military families are treated fairly and their moves handled with care is something we can all celebrate.
