Mending the leech and replacing spreader patches. This is what it looks like when your headsail is twice the size of your sail loft (aka living room) 🤣

is one of my favorite suppliers. A client shattered a sliding window on her Carver Mariner. OD provided a perfect replacement, and it looks better than new. Another win!

This lovely brand new kayak sustained some unfortunate cosmetic damage during shipping: chunks missing from both the bow and stern. Filled with thickened epoxy matching the color as closely as possible and covered with a bit of fiberglass for reinforcement. A few coats of varnish later: voila!

Another interior project to pass the cold winter months! The original synthetic fabric on this panel deteriorated badly. Ultraleather from Sailrite made it look better than new. Great stuff!

Winter months are made for interior projects! My boat has always lacked proper seat backs on the settees. So I’m making a pair using Sailrite’s “quick and easy” box cushion method with backer boards cut from king starboard. I’m not sure yet if I like this approach better than cushions with sewn boxing sides, but it sure came together easily. I’ll post more pix when I install them come spring. Can’t wait!

A few pix from the last of this season’s outdoor projects: refinishing the bow of a Hatteras 50 that suffered superficial damage from repeated dock strikes. Working under the deck cover was nice for protection but made the lighting tricky. Even still, Alexseal looks amazing!
